Congratulations to Central Peel SS student Riya Trivedi on receiving a Rotary Club of Brampton Community Charity Scholarship
Malcolm Slater informed us that over the past 15 years our Club has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to high school students pursuing post- secondary education. Recipients must have contributed to the community through volunteer work and are not to be the recipients of other major scholarships.
He announced the $1000 Rotary Scholarship for Riya Trivedi, graduating from Central Peel Secondary School. She has accepted to attend McMaster University to study health sciences.
Riya has been the President of the Interact Club at Central Peel and contributed in many ways to community activities and events. She is also an excellent student. She expressed her appreciation for the scholarship, and confirmed she will looking forward to becoming a Rotaracter.
