Rotary Santa Auction

 

Thanks to the donors and supporters who made this Virtual Silent Auction a success.  A cheque for $5,000 was presented to the Alzheimer’s Society Peel by President Dittie Vogele and Past President Carole Berry on behalf of the Rotary Club of Brampton.

 

At the Alzheimer’s Society Peel staff and volunteers provide support programs, educational resources, referral services and more, to ease the burden of care and improve the quality of life for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, as well as their caregivers and families.  During the Covid restrictions, this is done virtually when possible.  Some direct services have unfortunately, been suspended.   Experience has shown that the earlier people begin to learn and strategize about coping with dementia, the better they are prepared and the better their caregivers can provide support over time.

 

The Rotary Club donation will help ensure supports are in place to help families in our community.  Special thanks to John Digby and Stephanie Beaumier for their work on this fundraiser.
