Busy week for Rotary

Last week the Rotary Club of Brampton had a fantastic dinner with special guests Ian and Juliet Risely. Ian is the incoming Rotary International President Elect for 2017/2018. The dinner was held at the Glenn, with over 90 Rotarians from our club as well as all the other Brampton clubs, and surrounding clubs from Orangeville, Mississauga, and Georgetown.

Rotarians were treated to the induction of 3 new Rotarians from Brampton South, as well as a Rotary moment from Syd Harmon.

We were joined by Councillor Elain Moore, who also presented the club with the proclamation, declaring September 20, Rotary International Day in Brampton. Earlier in the day there a ceremony at City Hall where Mayor Linda Jefferies and Rotary International PE Ian Risely made the same declaration and raised the Rotary International Flag.

Tuesday, The Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation honoured Richard Prouse at this year’s OPAL Gala, at which 17 Rotary Club of Brampton Rotarians showed their support.
