Rotary in Pakistan

Barry introduced our second speaker, Badar who is a Rotary member at our club. Badar attended the Rotary District Conference in Pakistan. The conference was held in Lahore, Badar’s birthplace. Badar showed us a map of Pakistan, pointing out Karachi which is the largest city in Pakistan and has the largest city population of 13 million people. Lahore comes second with 7 million people. These cities have multiple Rotary Clubs.

District 3272 is utilizing technology to outreach the broader community. The District’s main focus is polio eradication and their second biggest focus is peace and conflict resolution. The type of activity Badar would like to see district 3272 focus on is the GSE (Group Study Exchange) team. There are 54 Rotaract Clubs which are institutional as well as community based.
