Rotary District Conference

Dear Fellow Rotarian:
As you know, Rotary will celebrate 100 years of service in 2005.
District 7080 plans to celebrate this milestone birthday later this year at its annual Centennial District Conference that will be held October 22 to 24 at.........in Tinbuctu.
As you know, Rotary will celebrate 100 years of service in 2005.
District 7080 plans to celebrate this milestone birthday later this year at its annual Centennial District Conference that will be held October 22 to 24 at.........in Tinbuctu.
We are planning an exciting event and hope that we will see you and your family there. There will be something for all of you with a program that includes spousal events and events of specific appeal to children.

The overall theme of the conference will be "Celebrating Rotary" with a program that looks at the Past the Present and the uture of Rotary International and of District 7080.We will have an exciting lineup of speakers that will be motivational, inspirational, and informative, with very special keynote speakers.
As part of celebrating the accomplishments of Rotary in our District, we plan to invite the mayors and their partners of all the communities in District 7080 in which we now have clubs. They will be invited to attend and to host at least one table at the Saturday evening dinner and dance.
Throughout the conference there will be a variety of forms of recognition of Rotary projects that have helped make each community a better place to live, grow and prosper. There will also be a friendly competition among the District 7080 clubs to encourage attendance and to assist in club level fundraising. Stay tuned for more details on this.
As always a good conference requires many forms of support including volunteer and financial support. A conferencve committee has been established and has been hard at work for about six months already. Leslie Waychison of Burlington North is Chair, and she and her committee members have already recruited a number of people from several clubs to assist with the hundreds of things that must be done in order to deliver the quality that is Rotary.
If you feel that you can help in any way, including with a donation of time, money, or something "in-kind", please let Leslie or I know. All such donations will be greatly appreciated and put to very good use. In addition, we would welcome any suggestions you have about people or companies within your network that you, or we, might contact to sponsor some portion of the conference in either cash or kind.
