Making a difference
JEFFRY Cadorette, a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Media, P.A. since 1977 and presently Rotary International Director 2018-20 delivered a very inspiring talk. He talked about Rotary making a difference by enhancing awareness, better understand measure, increase impact, understand and pursue opportunities. We need to innovate, adapt and respond to stay relevant and we need more members.

Rotary is not immune to becoming obsolete, we need to adapt to get us where we need to be. If you do not have a strategic plan for your club, you need to get one in place. Rotary International is a resource to help with this process. We cannot become obsolete! Much is about self-awareness; most of our clubs are welcoming to us, maybe not to the people that we need to replace us going forward. We need to meet the next generation where they are, not where we are. He talked about how the youth experience will change their lives forever and we need the youth to be partners in world peace and we are proud to have them as part of this organization. We need the prospective energy of the youth and the light that they shine on the world.

Peace Through Music

The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra delivered two hours of beautiful music conducted by Mark Vuorinen an Assistant Professor of Music at Conrad Grebel University College and Maesto Denis Mastromonaco who has worked with orchestras nationally and internationally. These conductors talked about music and how it is good for you. A choir build relationships, create special bonds and you are better able to cope with stress. Singing provides a positive benefit on heart health. When we sing, we announce our existence. You cannot sing a song and not change your condition.
