The Rotary Club of Brampton was thrilled to welcome back Roots Community Services to the Glen on April 20th, 2026. We hosted Executive Director Shane Joseph along with Angela Carter and Mercy Lilian Gichuki for a formal cheque presentation to Roots Community Services. VP Rita announced the cheque amount and thanked all the volunteers who helped make the Black History Month Celebration a success. This fundraising event raised $8000 for Roots to support its services in the community.
Nicole Hand spoke to the Club about Bethell Hospice and the long history of RCB support. PP John Sanderson shared some stories about RCB's support of Bethell in the past. Bethell provides invaluable support to families and individuals during end of life care. The Club has raised $75,000 for Bethell over the years. A few members volunteer at Bethell.
