Ted Willard Brown

The Rotary Club of Brampton welcomes Ted Brown, Executive Director of Regeneration Outreach Community Services. Regeneration cares for the homeless and those at risk of being homeless. Ted initiated a trust fund to help in the horrific fire here in Brampton in which a child died and the fund grew to over $365,000. He sits on the advisory board of the Peel Regional Police.

At Regeneration they believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Over 35,000 breakfasts were served in 2013. Breakfast at Regen is more than just a meal. Their guests are able to build a sense of community and access a number of social services such as clothing, nursing care, hygiene kits and so much more. Breakfast IS in fact the most important meal of the day because it nourishes the mind, body and soul.

ROC is a community of caring persons, it’s not how much they give but how much love they put into giving. One of the things they constantly keep doing is giving to people who cannot reciprocate. Investing in people’s lives really make a difference. Poverty of loneliness is the worse kind of loneliness there is. It all starts with learning people’s stories and making a difference. To run Regen it costs approximately $400,000 per year and this could not be done without the help of clubs like Rotary and other organizations. Regeneration is constantly looking for volunteers, if interested, please contact Ted Brown.
