Ralph gives classification talk
Posted by Stephen Rhodes
New member Ralph Edwards cautioned members to consider a professional home inspection before purchasing a home, to minimize surprises and reduce "unexpected and unanticipated expense" during his classification talk.
Ralph, a partner in Professional Home Inspections Inc, said home inspections at $350 are relatively inexpensive considering the price of homes today. An inspection on average takes three hours and clients receive a comprehensive written report, photos on a Compact disc, and an option to receive all information electronically.
The comprehensive report covers roof, exterior, basement and structural, electrical, plumbing, heating & cooling and interiors and more.
"Whether owning, buying or selling a home, one of the largest single investments in a consumer's lifetime deserves sound advice. As a well-informed homeowner, it is a wise idea to have your investment professionally inspected," Ralph said.
Ralph started the business seven years ago. His background includes custom home construction and general residential work. At first he was involved in commercial inspections but now it's mostly residential.
Ralph has been invloved in Rotary for some years, first in Guelph and then Oakville, where he was awarded a Paul Harris.
He has been a senior manager in the construction field and chairman of the industry association.
He is married with four children and three grandchildren.
