Prabjot Kainth - Planet One Foundation

Prabjot is in environmental studies and has been working on Cancer Crisis for the past three years without any help or funding.

In India, they have started using more and more pesticides to grow more foods to feed the entire nation. In almost every household you will find cancer patients in as young as two months old. In their drinking water there is uranium, fluoride and arsenic. The small children are suffering from arthritis; men and women are not able to produce a child.

Prabjot has been working at a small village called Arnetu, which is located in Patiala District, Punjab, with a total of 464 families and a population of 2400. In this village there are kids with all sorts of deformities. There is a small river that runs through the village that has human waste so the people are drinking unclean water. Kids are crying for help and they are in very, very bad shape. No one is paying any attention to them; the local MPs are ignoring the situation. Prabjot has raised only $2000 so far.

Goals include:
  • Collection of health data
  •  Installation of water purification systems
  •  Rain water harvesting in all the schools and universities
  • Utilization of village stagnant water for irrigation
  • Awareness campaigns
  • Green corridor Buffer Zone in Punjab’s affected area
