Police checks Oct 15 (today)
At today's meeting October 15, Peel Regional Police will be attending to collect the necessary information in order to process security checks as required by the Security policy that the club has in place.
The Peel Regional Police offer this service to our club at no charge. This is why the applications are handed out personally.
A copy of our policy was emailed previously. Please be mindful checks are required by all members and spouses, any persons over 18 who will have contact with "vulnerable persons", this mainly applies to our exchange students, Easter Seals kids, and our other community projects.
Applications will be given out at the begining of the meeting for completion.
Everyone that needs to have a security check needs to be present and bring:
1) Two pieces of Government ID, ONE OF THESE NEEDS TO BE A PHOTO ID. Examples are: Drivers Licence, Health Card, Passport, Birth Certificate, Citizenship card.
2) Drivers Licence Numbers are neccessary
3) Your address history for the past 5 years.
Peel Regional will be taking the applications away to process and will mail the report to you. This meeting allows you and your family a convenient way to produce your security check.
Once you receive your report, please give it to one of the seurity committee members: They are: Brad Goodison, John Mullen, Jim Inglis, Ed Boonstra.
For those of you that reside outside of Peel Region. Peel Police will verify the documents and forward the request to the appropriate police department.
