Piroshin Moodley demonstrated why he has been such an in demand speaker at various Rotary functions throughout the year, by giving us a humorous and entertaining Power Point Presentation and history of both his home just outside of Jo-berg, South Africa, as well as his last twelve months living in Brampton and touring Canada.

Piro provided us with a thumbnail sketch of the history and geography of South Africa providing pictures of everything from the capital cities (there are three of them) and the famous Sun City Resort, down to the Township Squatty Camps, without electricity or running water.

He contrasted the starched British public school uniformed experience he had there, with the freer atmosphere of his past year at North Park Secondary School in Brampton.

It is hard to believe he crammed so much in one short year attending Rotary events (Fun to Run, A Little Night Music, The Firefighters Night and The Easter Seals Christmas Party) along with sporting and theatre events in Toronto, seeing Niagara Falls four times, as well as attending upon the thirty-day cross country tour with the rest of the Rotary Exchange Students.

Piroshin kept his audience glued to their seats well after the usual 1:30 finish time.  His talk was informative, funny and demonstrates the huge value of the program and the wonderful young people that participate in it.

Best of luck in South Africa Piroshin and come see us again soon.
