Paul Peters honoured

Paul Peters was honoured for 50 years in Rotary at a special ceremony commemorating his service and dedication on June 12.
Past District Governor John Stairs made the presentation and said that 15 clubs in the district had one member with 50 plus years. The late Orville Mark also had 50 years and in fact introduced Paul to Rotary.
In addition to his service with our club, including President in 1962-63, Paul was also a charter member and later President (1976-77) of the Brampton South club.
Paul's service includes many committees within both clubs but none more the illustrious than the Magazine Committee.
Paul said the club has come a long way from the days when we sold flares at Four Corners for a dollar apiece.
"It's been a privilege to be with you and I hope to be with you for a little while yet."
He said the youth are of "utmost importance" and that he is proud of Rotary's involvement with youth around the world.
He also told members he has been with the Magazine Committee for 44 years and looks forward to celebrating its 50th anniversary.
