
President for the 2018/9 Rotary year, Glenn Williams, gave a summary of the Club’s achievements during his year.
- Membership is now 62 members, up from the previous year. A challenge going forward is to recruit more women.
- Financially the Club is in a strong position – both our Contingency and Legacy Funds have not been used, a strong fiscal position
- $400,000 of our $500,000 contribution to Wm Osler Health Care System (Peel Memorial Seniors Waiting Room) has been made
- Rotarians have participated in a wide range of activities showing much commitment and passion, including the Brampton Caledon Community Foundation Opal Gala, Children’s Christmas Party, Sponsor of the Santa Claus Parade (and float,too,) active Interact and Rotaract Clubs, International Youth Exchange, The Glen redevelopment, Bingo, Coin Shows, and, of course, Rib n Roll. There is probably much more throughout the year.
- Rotary integration has been completed (District, RI) through the work of Tim and David.
- Club Website on Club Runner is being updated regularly.
- 30+ committees were active, with participation of over 90% of members engaged.
- Board Action Lists tracked achievements of directors
- A new Secretary and Treasurer were recruited and introduced to their roles.
Glenn thanked the Directors, Members, and especially his wife Linda, for her support. He noted the commitment of Mustafa Nassar, who has served as Treasurer for 5 years.
In closing he wished the incoming President and directors a very successful upcoming year.
Glenn was acknowledged for his contribution to a very busy and productive Rotary year with a long standing ovation.
