President David Clement reported on his meeting with city staff. He presented the staff with the information that RC of Brampton has invested $500,000 in Gage Park since 1990 and we are the main sponsor of the park which includes a tree dedicated to the memory of Rob Van Kessel, one of the founders of our signature event fund-raiser, Rib and Roll. RC of Brampton is the main sponsor of the Santa Claus parade this year.
Dittie reported that there are 10 people going to Dancing with the Stars to see John Digby compete.
Dittie has organized the trip to Hawaii with the help of a travel agent for a number of club members who are attending.
Congratulations went out to Pierre whose horses have been awarded Horse of the Year as well as Sprinter of the Year.
Monday October 28th is a meeting of all the Rotary Clubs in Brampton with our guest speaker DG Lesley. It is an evening meeting at Rotary Glen. All members must reserve with Sandra Burton in advance to attend this event.
