Community Project: Update on the project to recognize our frontline staff member, medals have been procured and will be distributed to the members of the community that earned it. This was communicated as not only a good thing for the community but also as an effective way of communicating the Rotary’s vision and purpose in our community.
International project: Health Centre project in Nigeria has been completed and a formal update is forth coming.
Rotary Club of OBA; Money’s have been received and is being used to help the Syrian refugees the president has been invited to speak at the Peace meeting the coordination is in progress.
Past President Moment: Warren Raspberry spoke of his time as president and how all the activities of Rotary made Rotary fun as well as informing each other of our diverse backgrounds and letting us know about each. He really focused on the relationships and comraderie available. The benefits from his presidency and years of experience in Rotary and the theme of his presentation: great fellowship, great support and help from membership when required. Awesome! Warren also commended the club leadership for their work managing during COVID restrictions; encouraged the new members to look at trying out for the positions of leadership and encouraged the new leadership to ask for help by giving examples of how members of Rotary (special mention of Peter Ward) assisted him during his tenure as president.
