Norm for District Governor

It gives me great pleasure to announce that PP Norm Bindon of The Rotary Club of Brampton, has been selected as your District Governor for the Rotary year 2008-09. I am sure everyone will agree that Norm and his wife Elizabeth, are an excellent team to carry the torch forward for Rotary into the future.

After the interviews and selection process, your nomination committee, under the Chairmanship of PDG Mike Knell, unanimously selected Norm as our future Governor, following DGE Syd Harmon and DGN Dave Paterson.

Those who have worked with Norm know that he is a very committed and knowledgeable Rotarian with the energy and skills required to be an excellent DG. He will be an inspiration to the Rotary family and is well focused to lead the District, with a very clear understanding of Rotary values and the areas that need attention.

Norm served as President of his Rotary Club of Brampton in 2001-2002 and meets all the requirements of Rotary International for a Governor, having served in many areas of the District team. His experience is broad and he currently serves as District Youth Director and District Secretary, where his leadership and organizational skills have become well known.
