Monday's speaker
Lorrie Goldstein is the Senior Associate Editor of the Toronto Sun, writing columns, editorials and helping to oversee the production of the Sun's opinion pages.
He has been with the Sun for 28 years, starting out as a general assignment reporter in 1978 after graduating from the University of Toronto with an Honours B.A. in English and History. Prior to that he worked on several community newspapers including the North York and Scarborough Mirrors.
Lorrie has held a number of senior positions at the Sun including Editorial Page Editor, City Editor, Queen's Park Columnist and Bureau chief, in addition to his current assignment.
Lorrie lives in Toronto, is a frequent commentator on radio and televison on political issues and often represents the Sun in the community.
He is married to Krystyna, a teacher, and they have two children, a son and a daughter, both attending university.
He is going to talk to us today about the polarization of politics both internationally and in Canada, and its implications for the future.
