Alzheimers Society Peel –

I’m excited to tell you that I’m participating in the virtual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's to support the Alzheimer Society. While we can’t physically walk together right now, on Sunday, May 31st people across the country will all move together in their homes and neighbourhoods to support those living with dementia. My goal is to complete 75,000 steps by May 31 - with my husband Dick, in his wheelchair (also counts as weight-training! My team, The Merry Berry Walkers, will be walking on Saturday May 29 in Mississauga (suitably distanced).
Please help me reach my goal by making a secure online donation through my personal Walk fundraising page – click on the link
The challenges of physical and social distancing mean that families living with dementia need our support now more than ever before. Right now, more than half a million Canadians are living with dementia. By 2031, this number will increase to almost a million. That’s why I’m participating in the virtual Walk, so I can help the Alzheimer Society meet the increasing demand for programs and services that support those in our community affected by dementia. These are the very educational and support services that we have personally benefited from over the past four years.
Thank you for whatever amount you’re able to donate. I’m grateful for your support and will keep you posted on my progress. If you would like to participate in the virtual Walk, please visit www.walkforalzheimers.ca .
