Megan talks on Brazil

Megan Pesant, our 2005-2006 youth exchange student, gave a summary of her year in São Bento Do Sul, in southern Brazil, where many of the residents are of German descent.

Megan highlighted her year with a power point presentation and distributed good luck ribbons, encouraging members to make wishes.

Megan's mother Nancy Kastner and father Bob Pesant, members of the Heart Lake Rotary club, and Morgana, inbound youth exchange student of the Heart Lake club, along with her grandmother and grandfather were guests of the club.

Bob made an announcement of the upcoming Breakfast for Kids Luncheon sponsored by the Heart Lake club. The proceeds from this luncheon supports breakfast programs at Brampton schools.

Other guests included  our new youth exchange student, Joerg Basedow, from the German-Belgium border, Ross Farrely , past chair of the District Youth Committee, from the Palgrave club, and Lianne Fernandes prospective member, and Honourary member, Carl Dali.
