Two Rotary guests were present, our good friend and former member James Ramsbottom, and a member from The Flower City Club, Luke Pratt.

Our speakers were two club members.

First Barry Thorvardsen presented us with a slide show about the Rotary Seniors Village concept summarizing an earlier presentation about the concept, and providing us with the details of the progress of the committee.

Through Barry the Committee made a Motion that the Club approve a sum of $6,000 to allow the Rotary Seniors Village Committee to proceed with the OCA Architects Feasibility Study. All were in favour.

The second speaker was Steve Robinson, who suggested that in honour of our 75th anniversary we have a legacy project with a multiyear gift to the William Osler Foundation, in support for the new Peel Memorial. The board is looking for any and all feedback prior to a vote being called, which  will take place around November 23rd.

The Halloween Party was a frightfully fun evening attended by a number of spooky Rotarians and friends.

Monday November 2nd the meeting will begin promptly at 12 noon. Members are reminded to arrive on time and leave promptly after due to a function immediately following the meeting.
