Kevin on sports

Guest Speaker was Kevin Sylvester from CBC Sports who delivered an interesting and humerous talk about the Olympics.
He offered his thoughts on Canada's Olympians as he had some experience with the subject having worked on 8 Games and attended 5.
Kevin loves Canadian Olympians and thinks they are better than the country deserves.
We hardly pay for our athletes to train properly and we don't acknowledge their existence between Games. Then at Games time we demand that they win. But they are by and large the friendliest, most well-rounded athletes in the world.
They have lives outside their sports and this makes them more interesting than say, their USA counterparts, where winning is the only option.
Canada has a culture that can be frustrating but it's a culture that the world needs more than win at all costs and sacrifice family and friends for winning.
