Zonta International – Empowering Women
 
The Rotary Club of Brampton is pleased to welcome Kathleen Douglass. Kathleen is a member of the Zonta Club of Brampton-Caledon. Since joining Zonta International in 1980, she has served in numerous roles at the club and district levels, including twice as club president, area director and district governor. Kathleen is also Manager of Volunteer/Community Programs in Workplace Safety and Prevention Services.
 
Zonta International was founded in 1919 and is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. With more than 30,000 members belonging to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 67 countries and geographic areas, members all over the world volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects as well as scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling Zonta’s mission and objects.
 
Zonta International wants to make sure women’s rights are recognized, women’s rights are human rights which are essential for the development of all people. Zonat International endorses the values expressed in the United Nations. Zonta means integrity and honesty, and their commitment is to work closely with partners in the community.
