Interact at Work

St. Augustine's Interact Club is hard at work on the international and community front. The students thanked out club for its support at last week's meeting.
Interact President Natalie Taylor said the club's projects help develop leadership skills and social awareness.
Interact is currently involved in supporting a lunch program in Nicaragua as part of the international requirement. They raise money through soccer and hockey tournaments. Over the past four years they have raised $10,000.
Bill Heffernan, St. Augustine teacher and mentor, says these students are very capable and autonomous. "They do all the work themselves, calling on teachers as resources."
