Ambassador (Rtd) Naeem U Hasan, President of The South Asia Group Ltd is our guest speaker this week. He will be providing us with his insights into the social/ economic and political developments in South Asia with a focus on Pakistan.

The South Asia Group Ltd is headquartered in Toronto. The Group provides specialist advice and understanding with respect to the countries of South Asia and the Arab and Muslim world. The Group is comprised of former high profile, influential members of the South Asian region, who have become Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The Group is also represented by members of the North American business community.

Ambassador (Rtd) Naeem U Hasan provides the inside story on the Arab and Muslim world. He has spent his lifetime within the corridors of power. He has been named Director of Economic Affairs and Regional Development for the OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries). Since his MPA in Lebanon, Ambassador (Rtd) Hasan has served in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey and Syria for the government of Pakistan. His time spent in public service and his time as a Secretary General of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-Operation), has provided him with intimate knowledge, and a unique perspective, of the Indian subcontinent. Ambassador (Rtd) Hasan has also specialized in strategic and defense issues with Pakistan's national defense college.
