Hurricane Dolly has left devastation and desolation on its path in the Merendon Mountains of Guatemala. The indigenous communities of Mayan Chorti are suffering again and again.  We need your help.

The Canadian Central American Relief Effort (CCARE) has decided to send a container with aid for these people.   CCARE has already sent $10,000 to the Rotarians in Gualán to help the victims of this natural disaster.  The Rotary Club of Bolton has also sent funds for emergency food and water.

You can help by collecting the following items:

1. Blankets
2. plastic sheets or tarps, plastic garbage bags to distribute items to the families
3. Sleeping-bags,
4. Sheets,
5. Towels,
6. Tools to work the land and tools to use in constructions, as hammers, measure tapes, shovels, picks, nails, levels, etc.
7. Plastics dishes, cutlery, pots, pails, etc.
8. Children clothing, sweaters,
9. Tables (maybe we could remove the legs so they will not take too much room) chairs, etc.
10  First Aid items

Please place items in a suitcase as these suitcases are used for storage and as baby cribs.

List the contents on the outside and inside so a master list for the Guatemalan customs can be completed. DEADLINE - October 27.
**Carole will be at the District Conference or at the club meeting Oct. 27 if you have items to pass on.
