June is brain injury awareness month and the Rotary Club of Brampton welcomes Jorun Rucels, Executive Director.

 

BIAPH is a non-profit organization which exists for the needs of families and survivors of brain injury in the Peel and Halton Regions. Brain injury could be the result of a virus, a stroke, lack of oxygen. It’s exhausting to live with someone with a brain injury. Aside from support groups, there is a caregiver program. They facilitate measures to promote the prevention of brain injury, improve quality/care of life and provide community education.
