Unpacking the conflict in the Middle East

Kamran Bukhari was the speaker at our Monday meeting. He is a political analyst and senior lecturer for the University of Ottawa. He is also a Senior Analyst for political futures. His job is to take complex phenomenon and clarify for the public. He spoke about discrepancies that we should be mindful of such as Jihadism (Islamic militant movement), geosectarian (lethal challenge) and autocratic meltdown. His talk was very interesting and judging from the number of questions asked was an indication of the level of interest from the group.
