Gabriel gave the club members a little history of Brazil. He showed us a picture of his city; he was born in San Paolo.
He had several host families, Carole Berry was fantastic and it was so much fun to be with her family. Thanks to the Langdons who were also amazing. Gabriel had a great time with the Robinson family, they were great and he enjoyed their children.
Gabriel talked about his Canadian experience, his Mom and Dad came over for his birthday in March and it was so great to have them. The best time was when he went cross-country skiing. In his all Canada tour, he went to Ottawa for Canada day, it was amazing, also went to Quebec City, which is so different from Ontario. In New Brunswick he went to a French Village, the people spoke both French and English, such a wonderful experience.
Nova Scotia is his favourite province and a beautiful place to be. Gabriel would like to go back there some time. In P.E.I. there is not too much to do but great to know the province. He built great relationships with people that he met there.
The year was so great, lots of good memories. Thanks to Carole, John, Mari-Anne, the Robinsons and all the host families who made him feel like home. Thanks to the Rotary club family for hosting him and he is so glad that he came to Canada, as it was truly amazing.
Carole Berry thanked Gabriel who learned about Canada, relationships and living with different families. Thanks to Gabriel for being a part of our club.
