Funeral and wake

Not to be confused with the Funeral Service that will take place at the Emmanuel United Church in Brampton on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., the family will be hosting a (post funeral) ‘Wake – A Celebration of Life’ in honour of Robert ‘Bob’ McIntyre.Dad always loved a good party and it was his wish that we celebrate his life with the family and friends that made it so rich and memorable.
The 'Wake’ will take place at the ‘Hilton Garden Inn – Brampton’ located at 2648 Steeles Ave., East in Brampton (905-595-5151) on Saturday, December 15th, ‘12 commencing at 7:00 p.m.
Such to include an open bar, h’orderves/sandwiches, desserts, drinks, snacks and the like.
A number of people have inquired about whether or not a block of rooms have been set aside at a Brampton hotel for those family/friends travelling from out of town.
I’m pleased to advise that I’ve secured a block of rooms for Friday and/or Saturday (Dec. 14 & 15) at the aforesaid ‘Hilton Garden Inn – Brampton’ at a rate of $99.00 + HST. Rooms come with either a single King bed or 2 Queen size beds. Such also includes a full hot breakfast.
Personal Note: I stayed at this hotel this past June and it’s an extremely nice full service hotel, just over a year old and the breakfast buffet is to die for. We’d ask those wanting to attend the ‘Wake’ to consider reserving a room, it’s well worth the $100.00 and we don’t have to worry about anyone drinking and driving. Our entire family will be staying at the hotel Saturday as we want to spend as much time with you as possible.
Kindly RSVP me NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 11th, ’12, if you plan on attending the ‘Wake’ as I need to let the hotel know our numbers for purposes of food and set up.
