Fun at Oktoberfest

John Mullen thanked those club members who participated in last Saturday's Oktoberfest dance. Those attending had a great time with wonderful food, fun German dancers and a terrific band.
The net amount raised was down from last year -- from just under $9,000 to proximately $4000 due to lower attendance (170 to 110) and fewer gifts donated to the silent auction table (83 to 63).
Dittie Voegle emphasized the need for broader club participation if we want to continue to have this fundraiser for our children's charities program in future.
