Fines and Happy Bucks
Posted by James Ramsbottom
Fines were levied by the Sergeant-at –Arms against several members. Apparently, John "Suds", the Sergeant-at-Arms, distributed a memo only to himself wherein suits are not to be worn during the summer months. As a result, all members wearing a suit got to make a donation to the club.
President Ken was fined for his prowess as being one of the only people alive who is capable of getting a hand into lawyer's pocket as evidenced by picture taken at the golf tournament.
Although proud of President Ken, the Sergeant-at-Arms felt it necessary to fine President Ken for this act.
Secretary Peter was lightened of a dollar by the Sergeant-at-Arms for not providing "structure" to the club regarding the Sergeant-at-Arms duties. Secretary Peter paid the fine, under protest, noting that it was "not his job." Past District Governor Norm was fined for his attire, resembling a Canadian Tire uniform, which he proudly noted only cost him $7.
The Sergeant-at-Arms concluded this week's fines by asking John Lomax for a donation resulting from John, "once again," surrounding himself with beautiful women.
