Fines and Happy Bucks

Sgt-at-Arms Peter was uncharacteristically lenient with fines this week, assessing only Jim and Ken for last in and Ed and Denis for insulting his sartorial splendour. Otherwise happy bucks were abundant. Bob Cranch is celebrating 24 years of marriage.
Bal thanked members for supporting his MS fundraiser. Badar was promoting the Look Good Feel Better campaign with tickets for a new Volvo. Glenn was happy for John Sanderson's win. Dorean praised the Brampton Symphony season opening concert and told members about a full page on Rotary in the program. Frances was happy her guest arrived. Jim, canvassing for JWS, said he was well received along the campaign. Sheila said she was received warmly while visiting a Rotary Club in Chili. Carl was proud of his grandson scoring a goal that led to his team's victory.
And Peter, adding another story of Remembrance, said we should not forget the people who sat and waited for their loved ones during the great wars. He said his grandmother used to dote on him. Three times in her life a man left in uniform and didn't come back.
