Faye Cran visits our club

Faye Cran has lived in Tanzania for 60 years. She started a chicken farm with 20 chickens many years ago and now her company processes 50,000 chickens a week.
Tanzania is a very poor country. 280 children die every day from Malaria and the life expectancy is 46.

Faye is a past president of the sponsoring Rotary Club. She is also a Past District Governor.
Faye was proud to be part of a combined club (Brampton, Guelph and Canmore) Rotary project to improve facilities at a leper colony. The colony had very little in the way of facilities that we take for granted before the project began. After a lot of hard work by Rotarians (including Doug Leighton and Norm Bindon) the colony now has running water, electricity, tractors, classrooms, a dairy, books and an improved level of education that benefits 9000 people.
