Nick clarified he held the position of Secretary for the Acton Club not the President. He was President of the Toronto Beach Club.
Our Inbound Exchange student Viktoria Houdekova from Slovakia did a short presentation about her country and performed a traditional dance in costume for us.
Slovakia has a population of 5,415,945 people and its national language is Slovak.
The capitol city is Brataslava, the economic, political and cultural center of the country and has a population of 500,000.
Viktoria lives with her police officer parents in a village 12 kms from Banska, Bystrica, a city surrounded by hills and mountains, popular for hiking and skiing. Banska Bystrica is a UNESCO world site because of the unique ice caves. It is also home to the first Technical University in the world.
Viktoria represents District 2240 which has 72 clubs and is sponsored by the Banska Bystrica Rotary Club which has 24 members.
She is attending Central Peel High School studying hard as she aspires to be a dentist.
