On Monday April 14, 2025, the Rotary Club of Brampton hosted Sheffanessea Brown who is no stranger to the Club. Sheffanessea is an advocate creating awareness of parental alienation in our society. She is an entrepreneur and works to demonstrate the link between parental alienation and domestic violence and child abuse. Following the kidnapping of her son Neel, she started a non profit organization called against parental alienation which focuses on educating the general public about the impact parental alienation has on the community and the world. She spoke to the club about the annual parental alienation awareness flag raising at Brampton City Hall on April 25th and in communities across Canada, to encourage equal parenting rights for fit, safe, loving parents and to encourage parents to put their children before their anger.
We were also thrilled to present a $6,000 cheque to Rapport Youth and Family Services following our successful fundraising at the Black History Month Celebration Event. Rotarians Rita and Luisa presented the cheque to Rapport executive and staff members.
