Young people on the move
Welcome to Yasmin and Sharon who brought us up to date on the activities of David Suzuki Interact Club. Activities they have done so far this year include:
Penny drive, and other various events. All proceeds went towards building water wells in Africa.

Halloween movie buy-in - $2.00 per ticket which went towards women shelters, $820 was raised.
Food drive, Knights Table – 1415 non-perishable food items raised.
Brick by brick campaign – this will start April 11-24; the goal is to raise $1,000 towards education.
Next year
30 hour famine – the Interact Club will host a 30 hr. famine. Students will spend the night at school and will be able to consume liquids only. They will get a better understanding of hardships faced by millions of people around the world; all while raising money for developing countries.
A sponsor banner for David Suzuki Secondary School was presented to the students by President Carole.
