Congratulations John Sanderson!
Linda Jeffrey, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing presented John Sanderson with a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. This medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country. At the same time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians. John has a family legacy of volunteerism, with a special place in his heart for the Salvation Army where he has served in various ways including the Toss a Toonie campaign, and as a Director of the Women's Shelter. John is a Paul Harris Fellow, and previous recipient of both the Brampton Board of Trade Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
