Our club unanimously supported running bingos to help offset lost revenues from bingo hall proceeds. Dittie volunteered to chair a new Bingo Committee.
Bingo Board Chair Tim had suggested that our club, in order to earn revenue for our service account, might like to run some bingo sessions, being two per month.  The sessions would probably be held on Tuesdays.

Different methods of staffing the sessions were considered, including volunteers versus mandatory participation, or per teams or pods.

A show of hands indicated that the club was in favor of running such sessions.  Dittie Voegel was appointed as the chair of this Rotary bingo committee.

The hall itself is losing money, but there are a number of plans in motion to try and turn it around. No decision has been made on its future.

President-elect Steve advised that a strategic planning night is being held on November 29, 2006 to consider such long-term issues.
