MIKE PIGEAU

Mike is a Sergeant at Peel Regional Police for 15 years. He is married with two daughters nine and six. He was born in North Bay but grew up in Elliot Lake. It was good growing up there. Both parents have been retired for close to 20 years and, as well, both parents were in the Police Department so that gave Mike the incentive to join.

Mike studied business and justice at Georgian College for four years. After graduation, he moved to Mississauga and worked in the computer industry. He did that for a few years then decided to pursue his police career. In his career, Mike worked in many different units including investigation and criminal assault. He also did some coaching. He was one of four supervisors on the road and he had a lot of fun with that.

In 2010 Mike had an amazing experience; security was sent to work the Olympics and Mike was one of them. He got lucky to do security work at the finish line. The work was phenomenal!

When Mike first joined the club as an Associate Member, he didn’t know much about Rotary but working with everyone for the past year has been great and he is now looking forward to being a full member.
