Welcome Chris

Matt introduced Chris; they went to school together and was excited when Chris showed his interest in joining Rotary. Chris is Sudbury born, moved to Brampton when he was 6 yrs. old. He is married with a beautiful daughter who is 9 yrs old and a two year old son. Chris has two wonderful sisters; the oldest sister is in the military and the younger works in the school board.  His good values came from Dad who is now retired from Algoma Steel. Chris’ Mom worked at the Royal Bank for 42 yrs and is very active in the church.

Chris is highly involved in sports, loves to travel and spent six weeks travelling Europe. He is a Second City fan and growing up, took some courses. He enjoys being involved in community threatre at the Rose theratre in Brampton.

Chris started off in corrections, took a course at Sheridan. He did a placement at a group home, at age 20 became a foster parent for a teenage boy and these are the two things that allowed him to move forward. From there he went to Peel District School Board where he worked with kids. He learned a lot, made connections and began working in the rehab. field. This has been an incredible experience for Chris. Working in the community has made a big impact in people’s lives. There are people out there that have a lot of heartache that we are not always aware of so being out there helping them has made a huge difference in their lives.
