Christine is inducted

Christine is Community Liaison Officer at 22 Division in Brampton. Her boss Staff Sergeant Richard DeFacendis says Christine "has made a significant contribution to community-based policing in Brampton."

He spoke at the annual Mayor's luncheon where Christine was presented with The Brampton Board of Trade's Police Service Award - awarded  to an officer who in the course of their duty, and by their actions, exhibit an attitude toward community service above the ordinary requirements of their day to day duties.

"This contribution was achieved not simply through her assigned duties but through a deep personal commitment to the ideals of community-based policing.  That is - to foster positive and productive working relationships between the police and communities we serve to both prevent and solve crime."

CJ has taken on a key role in managing citizen complaints where a strong community focus has greatly increased the satisfaction level with police response to these complaints in Brampton.

Christine has developed and delivered many lectures and presentations at:  police community stations, private community events and schools on a wide range of topics.

Cst Judd is also part of the Integrated Municipal Enforcement Team or IMET.  "CJ works with IMET members to fashion and implement highly effective strategies to resolve difficult long-term community problems." 

And in conjunction with Brampton Safe City, Christine is also working hard to revitalize the Neighbourhood Watch Program here in Brampton.

In addition to her upcoming work with Rotary, Christine has been active in countless fund raising and community-based initiatives including: Toys for Tots, The Breakfast Club for Kids, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Tim Horton's Camp Fund.
