President David thanked the RC of Brampton for allowing him to go to Hamburg.
He highlighted all the ventures entered into by the club during the year 2019 -2020 starting the year off with support for a Children's Youth Festival. We had two successful Coin Shows, reminders of historical club moments by past presidents, donations of books to the pediatric ward of the hospital through Jerome and donations to the Paul Harris Society by Vanora and Mustafa. We tripled our International donations, made a donation to the Australia Wild Fire recovery, hosted an exciting Casino night, continued with our annual Christmas Party for families of children on the Autism Spectrum, attended Wellspring, participated in the Coldest Night of the Year and made Food donations to the community through Regeneration. We donated $100,000 to Covid Relief helping out locally and internationally. We are the lead sponsors of the Brampton Santa Claus parade, members represented Rotary at World Polio Day, the Poor
Boy's Luncheon, the Bill Davis presentation event and the hospital gala. Ken and Vanora participated in the Million Dollar dinner and John Digby danced in the Mississauga Dancing with the Stars event. We hosted an exchange student from Taiwan and supported Interactors in their participation in Project Amigo.

This year's theme Rotary Opens Opportunities and President Dittie challenged us to think outside of the box. She highlighted that the club has great diversity and many talents. She reminded us of past decisions which were contentious, the purchase of the Bingo Hall and the Rotary Glen building and the success of these decisions. She challenged the RC of Brampton to think about how members can serve the city of Brampton at a time when many of fund raisers are not happening in the same manner. She suggested we have a home Happy Buck jar to simulate this tradition of in person meetings virtually. The Rib and Roll is July 26th and it is encouraged to place orders early.

Regeneration has Wednesday volunteer opportunities for Rotary. Dittie described how using our contacts we were able to increase our purchasing power from 30 thousand dollars to nearly 60 thousand dollars. Dittie closed the meeting with her quote of the week. Every time you are tempted to react, ask yourself if you want to be a person of the past or a pioneer of the future.
