Club President Amolak Dhindsa and Club President Elect Uche Okugo joined our District Polio Chair and club VP Badar Shamim at the 82nd Pakistan/ Lahore resolution day anniversary dinner organized by fellow Canadians of Pakistani origins. District Polio Chair Badar highlighted the contributions of Rotarians from district towards helping eliminate Polio from around the world and also thanked the Rotarians in Pakistan for coordinating vaccination efforts through over 285,000 female Polio workers to help save the children in Pakistan. Pakistan has just marked one year of not reporting any new Polio cases. Afghanistan and Pakistan are only two remaining Polio endemic countries. District Peace Chair Kathi Dick and Rotarians from neighbouring clubs in Mississauga also attended the event.
