Guest Speaker Lesley Kennedy thanked Rotary for our donation to Madoc Drive Public School's breakfast programme. Every day the Breakfast programme feeds 145- 165 students. Three days are Grab and Go days and 2 days are sit down and have conversation, while eating their breakfast of dairy, fruit and a grain.
They also provide a lunch snack to 45-65 students.
The same children who come to the breakfast programme often come to school without boots or mitts in the winter. The families of these children fall into the Social Risk Index of 1 or 2.
Happy bucks today were donated to this programme.
The David Suzuki Me to We/ Interact Club members were our guests for lunch as a thank you for their volunteer work at Rib and Roll. They shared information about their projects with a power point.
They received a cheque to assist with their projects.
