Bouquets and brickbats

Fines and Happy bucks were collected by Warren Rasberry and his
accomplice Jack Corney. Amongst those who paid in were Dittie Voegel,
fined for being sick with a swine-like flu – yet Jack was able to
collect the fine without fear of being contaminated thanks to the extra
length stick attached to the fine bag.
Badar Shamin was fined for being last in, although he was somewhat pleased and happily paid his buck because his tardiness allowed him a good excuse for passing on this day's lunch special. Badar paid an additional dollar as a sad buck and spoke of thanks for all the Canadian organizations that have been and are also looking to raise funds for support efforts for the Pakistani people embroiled in the troubling conflict with the menacing Taliban.
Jean paid a dollar, as he was just happy to be there, Willard was happy to have witnessed at a recent coin auction a Canadian collectors coin fetch over $125,000, and Dittie dug into her purse for another dollar, happy that Joe. Joe in rebuttal paid a dollar because he was happy Dittie would not be there with him on Tim's teams shift Tuesday!
