Rotarian Jerome was in Charge of Spinner for October 31st.  Somehow his Sergeant-at-Arms report disappeared into cyber space.  It is here at last.

Attendance & Greeting

Khaled & Jerome happily greeted fellow Rotarians as they entered the Glen for a wonderful Rotary meeting. They ensured that all guests were warmly received.

Our club was honored to have 3 visiting Rotarians on Monday. They were: Carl Ingebertson, Bob Bell and Denis Stephenson.

Sergeant @ Arms:

Johnny "Sudden Death" Sudnokowicz, who as always, was happy to play the Devils advocate as he assessed numerous fines to unsuspecting Rotarians. I suspect he was gearing up for the motley crew of Tricker Treaters that were about to knock at his door during the witching hour.

This reporter opted not to report all fines levied that day for fear of future reprisals.

Happy Bucks:

Dittie Hay was happy to be honoured with the Paul Harris Recognition and happy that her son Wolfgang was able to join her for this special evening.

Introduction of Guests:

To the amusement of all in attendance, the introduction of our guests and visiting Rotarians was performed by Piroshin who devilishly performed this ritual. Since this was Piroshin's first Halloween, he decided to dress for the part wearing a Devil's costume, complete with a flowing black cape, red flashing pointed horns, a black mustache and a long handle pitch fork. He had an eerie look about him almost reminiscent of Warren the Impaler and an attitude of Johnny "Sudden" Death.

Announcements:

Len Coupland of the Chinguacousy Lions Club announced that his club was holding a Poker night on Saturday November 6th in an effort to raise funds for a 9 year boy. Ticket price of $55 included playing chips and a light dinner.

Rotarian Jerome announced that on Thursday October 28th our club held the annual Paul Harris Evening at Rotary Glen to recognize two Rotarians who have made a difference in our community as well as in the lives of many people. Rotarians Dittie Hay and Al Heaney were the club's latest Paul Harris recipients.

President Ed announced the Children's Christmas Party for December 11th at Century Gardens and that the Upper Oakville Centennial Club was having their charter night on Friday November 4th.
