Anthony our new ambassador

Nine-year-old Anthony Gale is our new Easter Seals ambassador for 2003. His passion is hockey and his favorite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Anthony loves to play sledge hockey, wheelchair basketball, Playstation hockey, watch TV and hang out with friends.
Last year Anthony joined the Cruisers Junior Sledge Hockey Team and had a great year, winning the gold medal in both tournaments they entered in Kitchener and Windsor. Anthony scored his first goal in Kitchener.
This past summer Anthony competed in wheelchair racing with the Cruisers Track and Field club. He went on to the Ontario Summer Games were he won two gold medals.
He then entered two 5km road races in St. Catharines and Toronto, where he was the youngest entrant and performed exceptionally well in both races - beating his dad Tony.
In November 2002, Anthony was honored by Wheelchair Sports Association with the 2002 Rookie of the Year Award.
This week the Cruisers Junior Hockey team will be awarded the Citizens Awards for Sports by the city of Brampton Community Services Council. Anthony and his team mates will be presented the award for their success in the 2001/2002 season.
Anthony's parents Tony and Anna-Lee and sister Lynn-Marie are proud of his achievements.
Anthony attends school at Lester B. Pearson Catholic Elementary School where he is in Grade 4.
