There were 47 members and 2 guests who attended the AGM.Deborah moved the acceptance of the agenda, and Mustafa seconded the motion.
Carole moved that the minutes of Dec. 10, 2018 AGM be accepted, Past President John S seconded.
2019 audited financial statements were presented, with discussion and questions and answers. Dittie moved the statements be accepted and Badar seconded the motion.
Motion by Past President Glen to defer the appointment of auditors for the fiscal year 2020 to a special general meeting.
John moved the changes in updated Policy Booklet be accepted and Tim seconded the motion. Many of the changes are in the section surrounding guests: definition of a guest, responsible advance notice of guests. Also included were change to the payment of dues and increase to dues. May 2019 change in language surrounding attendance.
President David discussed the membership drive target set at 70 members. Dittie will follow up with the 5 new members to assign a mentor. Tim will support with a check list for mentors to share with new members. To be a mentor you have to be a member of the RC of Brampton for three years, and serve on at least one committee, and be actively involved in club activities.
Uche spoke about the online membership survey completed by 36 members. Of those members there was an overall satisfaction rate of 97%
Future meetings will include a Rotary minute.
Election of new members to the board. Terry, Andy, and Tim will replace those whose terms are finished on the board.
