Andrea goes to Ottawa

Our Guest Speaker Andrea Racaglia spoke on Adventures in Citizenship,
put on by Rotary Club of Ottawa. Andrea was introduced by Mary Ann Tate.
Andrea spoke about her week in Ottawa with 200 students from across Canada. Discussions were held on what it is to be a Canadian and they attended a citizenship court with 51 people getting citizenship. They also visited historical sites like the newly renovated War Museum (they saw Hitlers car), RCMP training facility, House of Commons & Senate, Carleton University, Much Music Video dance and a meeting at the Rotary Club of Ottawa.
Andrea met new friends and made a special friendship with a girl from Saskatchewan, Jasmine.
Andrea is motivated to make change for the betterment of society. This is the 59th such an event has been held and Andrea thanked our Club for her sponsorship. She will join Rotaract.
Andrea is a former Grade 12 student at Mayfield school. She plans to attend University of Toronto to pursue Peace and Conflict studies.
